Charcoal Poultice

Charcoal poultice herbal medications and treatments for abscesses / boils:

• Chop or powder charcoal, then wet with water and wrap in a handkerchief or a clean piece of cloth.
• Apply directly as poultice, 2 times a day.

Elumea, Ngaicamphor, Sambong

Elumea / Ngaicamphor leaves poultice (sambong in tagalog) herbal medications.

Treatments for Abscesses and Boils:

• Chop 5 fresh leaves.
• Apply directly as poultice on abscesses or boil, 2 times a day.

Elumea / Ngaicamphor leaves only herbal medications and treatments for acute / chronic cystitis:

• Boil 1cup of chopped fresh leaves in 2 glasses of water for 15 minutes.

Dosage:

     Adults: 1/2 cup, 3 times a day.

Jack Fruit, Langka

Jack fruit juice or sap "milky juice from the tree trunk" compress (langka in tagalog) herbal medications.

Treatments for Abscesses and Boils:

• Get the milky juice from the trunk mix with a little vinegar.
• Warm the mixture and use it for hot compress. Use small pieces of clean cloth or gauze as compress. Apply for 20 minutes, 2 time a day.

China rose, Hibiscus, Gumamela

• Chop five leaves and two flowers.
• Apply directly on abscesses or boil as poultice, 2 times a day.

Abscesses and Boils

          An abscess is the center of a suppuration or pus collected within a tissue. A boil is a furuncle. Boils and abscesses are characterized by pain., heat and swelling.

Water Treatments:
     1.   Hot compress for 30 minutes, 2 times a day until the abscesses or boil has ripened area.
     2.   Hot sitz bath for 30 minutes, 2 times a day if abscesses or boil is on or around the rectal and perineal area.
